CIDCO - The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra, is the Government of Maharashtra undertaking which was established in the year 1970, on 17th March. The aim of CIDCO is to create a well-planned, environmentally-friendly, and sustainable for both residential as well as commercial purposes.
It is the country,s premier town planning agency.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme aims to provide housing plans to all by the year 2022. CIDCO added benefits to this yojana and offered a CIDCO Lottery Scheme.
This housing scheme aims to provide affordable housing to the citizens who are economically vulnerable and the lower-income sections of society. In this plan - approximately 1.10 lakh homes will be built and out of this 94,000 homes will be put under the CIDCO lottery scheme in specific regions like Navi Mumbai, Taloja, Kharghar, Kalamboli, Kharkopar, Panvel regions.
These homes have a lot of benefits for two sections of the society - economically weaker sections of the society and lower-income sections. mentioned here are some benefits and the ways to apply for this lottery scheme.
Please note that there are eligibility criteria (mentioned in the article) for this lottery. You have to match the criteria to avail of the scheme and apply for it. If you are unable to match the scheme, you cannot apply for the CIDCO lottery.
CIDCO Lottery Scheme
According to this scheme, 53,000 homes will be provided to economically weaker sections of society. And the rest of 41,000 homes will be provided to the lower-income sections of the society.These houses will be situated within a 2 km radius of essential services, which includes bus stations, railway networks, etc. People who win this lottery can pay the booking amount during the construction process.
Benefits of CIDCO Housing Scheme
This housing scheme supports people who cannot afford high-value apartments.Under this housing scheme, people belonging to the economically weaker section of the society and the lower-income groups will be benefited. They can apply for this scheme and avail the housing plan.
The flats that will be provided will be 25.81 sq.m for economically weaker sections and 29.82 sq.m for lower-income sections.
For the candidates from economically weaker sections, the house price is Rs. 18 lakh, and for lower-income sections, the price is Rs. 26 lakh.
Who is eligible for this scheme?
There are two categories - Economically weaker sections and Lower-income sections. You must qualify either category as the Corporation has certain guidelines to identify the person according to the category.The two categories are:
- If your monthly income is under 25,000, you are eligible for the economically weaker sections category.
- If your monthly income is between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000, then you can apply for this scheme under the lower-income section category.
Process of applying for the lottery
If you pass the eligibility test, then there is a certain process that you have to follow to apply for the CIDCO Lottery.Here are the steps are given below for the same:
- Go to the official website of CIDCO
- You will find a tab saying Register for lottery. Click on it and register yourself.
- After you have successfully registered, you will be directed to the application form by CIDCO.
- Fill in the details, enter the captcha code, and enter the submit button.
- Enter the OTP you will receive on your SMS for validation.
- There will be a list of documents that you need to attach a copy of.
- Once the form is filled, click on the submit button
- You will be taken to the payment page where you need to pay the registration fees.

As said before, there are certain documents you need to attach while filling the form. Here is the list of those documents:- Aadhar card
- Income proof certificate
- PAN card
- Domicile
- Bank details
- Voter ID
How to check the accepted list for the lottery?
To check whether your name has been accepted or not, follow the steps given below:- Visit the official website of CIDCO
- You will see the accepted applications tab on your screen. Click on that and you will be redirected to the lottery scheme page.
- Select the lottery scheme you have applied for and click on the view option. You need to click on the view again according to the scheme code.
- You will see a list of names that have been selected in the PDF form.
- Look for your name and the application number.
How to check the results for the lottery?
To check the CIDCO lottery results, follow the below-mentioned steps:
- Go to the official website of CIDCO
- Click on the tab that says View lottery results
- Fill the required fields that are asked on your screen.
- You will see a list of names that have been selected.
- Find your name in the list for the same
