The northern peripheral road is one of the most well-renowned places that is known to provide a connection between Delhi and Gurgaon. It was originally planned in 2006 by Haryana government and later on in 2011, its contract was passed. The expected completion of this project was decided to be in 2017 but there were delays because of miscoordination between Delhi and Haryana governments. However, in a recent meeting with PM Narendra Modi, this project was brought up in a conversation again. It is also known as Dwarka Expressway and according to the recent updates, this project is at its fastest pace to get completed. According to the latest news, we have found that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the highway ministry to wind up Dwarka Expressway work till September 22, 2022. This announcement was made in the recent meeting where the PM discussed the Expressway project on December 30. The construction of this expressway began a few years ago. Dwarka expressway is spread over an area of 27.6 km and is supposed to work as an alternate link between Delhi and Gurgaon. The project was launched so as to divert some traffic load from the existing Expressway. Thus, the decided launch of this project was from Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza.
